Lexicoder 3.0 is a fully revised version of a Java-based, multi-platform software for automated content analysis, designed by Mark Daku, myself, and Lori Young. The newest version of the software is desgned to be called from R, Stata, or the Command Line on PC or Mac. The software is freely available for academic use.
The Lexicoder Sentiment Dictionary (LSD) is intended to capture sentiment in political texts. It is distributed separately from Lexicoder software; but it too is freely available for academic use.
Both are available on the Lexicoder website.
